PLEASE NOTE :
It is important to gather an understanding of the insurers definition of what being ‘unable to work’ actually consists of.
Any contract with clauses for ‘own occupation or ANY occupation’ means that while you may be unable to continue working for an employer an insurer may still deem you fit enough to be able to work from home still via remote means.
If you are not, the ‘any occupation’ clause will imply that there may be some line work you can undergo because you are deemed fit enough to (for e.g. remote working!).
This enough will be reason to indefinitely withhold the payment.
